Description of Votes - 2007
SB07-16: Lowers the age requirement for children to be enrolled in school, yet another teacher's union attempt to indoctrinate our children into cradle-to-grave government dependence. CCU Oppose

SB07-40: Prevents branch banking at consumer friendly locations, extending government limits on free markets and consumer choice. CCU Oppose

SB07-60: Requires healthcare professionals to promote abortion drugs as a form of contraceptive. Though this bill was softened from its original version, it still justifies the heinous act of murdering unborn children. CCU Oppose

SB07-84: Once again "business interests" are attempting to limit free-market competition by letting Big Brother Government regulate and license interior designers. CCU Oppose

SB07-98: Opens the flood gates for county governments and their radical environmentalist allies to turn all of Colorado into Boulder style open space by limiting development and increasing sales and use taxes. CCU Oppose

SB07-107: "Business interests" again attempt to limit competition through nanny government regulation and licensure of landscape architects and gardeners and their illegal alien employees. CCU Oppose

SB07-111: Back door attempt to allow municipalities to increase certain taxes without consent of the voters for a program that voters soundly rejected. CCU Oppose

SB07-203: Makes it increasingly more difficult to get a home mortgage by regulating and licensing to prevent competition for mortgagees. CCU Oppose

SB07-239: $17.8 Billion state budget known as the Long Bill, it's difficult to say you're for small government when you vote to increase feeding the ever increase giant of state government. CCU Oppose

HB07-1074: An unconscionable attack on our constitutional protected right to free, by restrictions on campaign free speech. CCU Oppose

HB07-1080: Silly and wasteful big government attack on free-market competition, through restrictive government regulation and licensure of art therapists. CCU Oppose

HB07-1081: Penalizes consumers through Big Brother's regulating and restricting certain retailers from selling power sport vehicles like ATVs. CCU Oppose

HB07-1174: Nanny Government criminalizes the right to self-defense by putting permit holders in a criminal database. CCU Oppose

HB07-1249: Another "business community" attempt to limit free enterprise, by government regulation and licensure of household movers. CCU Oppose

HB07-1301: Uses taxpayer funds to engage in "sex education" and cervical cancer vaccination program directed toward young girls, by and for the benefit of pharmaceutical companies. CCU Oppose

HB07-1313: Makes it easier for illegal aliens to get drivers licenses, by expanding eligible documents to include non-secure forms of identification (i.e. insurance bills). CCU Oppose

HB07-1330: Governmental legalization of "two-mommies", by giving homosexuals special rights of adoption. CCU Oppose

HB07-1347: Big Brother creates a mandatory state-wide database to track all immunizations. CCU Oppose

Methodology
Ratings are calculated by dividing the number conservative votes by the total number of votes, rounded to the nearest integer.

Absences of any type or abstentions reduce the total number of votes.
